Albert Weyerstall, 1932
In the 1920s and 1930s, Albert Weyerstall was a banana planter in Veracruz, and amateur archaeologist who explored ancient ruins in the vicinity. He visited the colossal head in Hueyapan, first described by Melgar y Serrano, along with several other monuments, which he described in a report published by Tulane University in 1932.
