Notes: La Venta Monument 24. This block of green gneiss carved in an L- shape is 3 feet 10 inches long and 1 foot 2 inches wide. It is reminiscent of the U-shape blocks of stone found in the 1940s at San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán and in 1968 at La Venta. Written on slide: “R.J.Squier, S5RG, Mon. 24, M-42 1, May 1955”
