Notes: Potrero Nuevo Monument 2. This monument was exavated during Matthew Stirling’s last archaeological expedition in 1946 at Potrero Nuevo, one of the three sites that collectively are referred to as San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán. The monument represents a rectangular throne or altar supported by two identical chubby Atlantean figures.
