Notes: La Venta Offering No. 10. This offering consists of 38 celts of serpentine and jade, laid in a cruciform pattern. They were laid out on a bed of reddish clay and were plastered over with a layer of yellow sandy clay. Drucker, Heizer and Squier pointed out that “there is a very definite pattern of association of cruciform celt offerings, similar to the present one, with massive offerings.” (page 185) Written on slide “R.J.
