Locality B, Site B8-1.

Work at Site B8-1 has progressed to the point where fossils are going to be "lifted" this week. In "lifting" a fossil, we record its position relative to our grid and its orientation (the direction it is pointing and whether it dips into the ground or lies flat). As the excavators have removed the layers, they leave all artifacts and fossils on pedestals, so as not to disturb their position.
