Our living accommodations in Olorgesailie. Quite nice actually for the field; a tent and a foam mattress. The wool blankets you see on the bed are a necessity here at Olorgesailie at night. For, while it is hot and dry in the daytime, at night temperatures drop, and the wind picks-up in the basin, making it really cold.

On the floor to the right of the bed, you can see the tools of the trade for the modern field geologist; compass, rock hammer, laptop computer. An interesting mixture of Old and New.
