Installation:
Once in Anchorage and after crate acclimatization the Smithsonian conservation team systematically unpacked the crates and made notes on the condition of each object. Using the object placement notes recorded during each exhibit case review, a team of installers fit objects to their mounts and installed the objects in the new wing of the Anchorage Museum completing the almost three year process of preparing the objects for their return to Alaska. The images below document aspects of the installation process at the Anchorage Museum.
